Do you have an idea for an amazing Steven Universe panel? A workshop? A performance? Something entirely new? We want you at Empire City Con 2021!
By hosting a panel or other event, you help to make the convention engaging, fun, and one-of-a-kind — thank you for your interest!
A panel slot is an hour long, with a buffer of thirty minutes before for setup and thirty minutes after for tear-down/setting up the next panel. Anyone who submits a panel idea should have prepared content that fills that hour. We have access to common audio/video equipment via the hotel and our A/V team, and we’ll have volunteers ready to help you set up and tear down.
You’re welcome to apply to run multiple panels — in that case, please fill out and submit the form for each panel separately. Each panel comes with one free 3-day pass to Empire City Con 2021, and a discount code if there’s multiple panelists in your group. You can also pay a discounted rate ($25) to upgrade that ticket to the PLUS option, which comes with a swag bag and t-shirt. If you purchase a ticket before you are accepted as a panelist, it will be transferable free of charge.
The deadline for panel submissions is August 1, 2021. All panelist applications will be reviewed and a member of the programming committee will notify you regarding your panelist status no later than August 15, 2021.
